What Is Symbiotic?

Symbiotic is a shared security protocol that creates a marketplace for economic security. It connects stakers who want to secure rewards with networks that need collateralized security guarantees. Operators run infrastructure for these networks and receive delegated stake through specialized smart contracts called Vaults.

Stakers deposit assets into these Vaults. Curators manage these Vaults and delegate stake to qualified operators, such as Blockdaemon. Networks gain pooled security from multiple Vaults. Operators run validators or nodes and must meet performance standards, such as high uptime.
