# Request to Create a New Deactivation Intent for Polkadot

## Overview
This document describes the request object needed to create a new deactivation intent for the Polkadot network.

### Network
- **Type:** string  
- **Enum:**
  - `mainnet`
  - `kusama`
  - `westend`
- **Required:** Yes

### Customer Address
- **Type:** string  
- **Format:** `^[1-9A-HJ-NP-Za-km-z]{44}$`  
- **Description:** Address of the customer account to deactivate.

### Controller Address
- **Type:** string  
- **Format:** `^[1-9A-HJ-NP-Za-km-z]{44}$`  
- **Description:** Same as customer_address. Deprecated - will be removed in a later version.

### Amount
- **Type:** string  
- **Format:** `^[1-9]\d+$`  
- **Description:** Amount of DOT to unbond. If not supplied, the entire active stake is unbonded.

## Response Codes
- **200**: Created
- **400**: Invalid request.
- **401**: Header 'X-API-Key' missing.
- **500**: Internal server error.
