Blockdaemon supports over 70 blockchain protocols, each with unique governance mechanisms that drive their evolution and sustainability. As a node operator, we are committed to fostering decentralized, participatory, and resilient ecosystems through active and principled participation in governance. Our approach ensures that governance decisions reflect the long-term interests of each protocol while promoting fair access for all stakeholders.

Our Governance Philosophy

• Long-Term Sustainability: We prioritize proposals that enhance the protocol’s scalability, security, and resilience for enduring success.
• Participation and Fairness: We advocate for governance processes that empower all stakeholders—core developers, validators, application developers, and token holders—regardless of technical expertise or token holdings.
• Community-Driven Innovation: We support changes that align with the protocol’s core principles while driving ecosystem growth and adoption.
• Impartiality: We make decisions based solely on the interests of the protocol being voted on, maintaining independence from external partnerships or cross-chain considerations.

Voting Process

Blockdaemon’s governance participation is rigorous, transparent, and community-focused:

• Comprehensive Proposal Review: Our team evaluates each proposal for its technical merits, community impact, and alignment with the protocol’s long-term objectives.
• Decision Framework: We vote “Yes,” “No,” or “No With Veto” based on the proposal’s benefit to the protocol’s long-term health. We reserve “Abstain” for cases of clear conflict of interest or when insufficient information prevents an informed decision.
• Timely Participation: We strive to vote on every proposal, ensuring consistent representation of our commitment to each protocol’s governance.
